Australian Money

The New Zealand Herald reported that a Good Samaritan Aussie post worker has handed in a parcel containing Australian $100, 000 dollars. “Police have praised an Australia Post worker who handed in a parcel containing A$100,000 ($126,807) she found behind a post office in Melbourne’s southeast.” Ha! See? There are honest people in this world! I would hand the money in … for many, many reasons such as a) my father drummed it into me that I should b) I’d be afraid I was being secretly videoed by a TV show and any minute they’d leap out at me and I’d feel extremely embarrassed c) Guilt would play a role: this money may have been very important to someone etc d) Oh and there’s the law … is there a law about these things? e) I’m back to the guilt thing again. Apparently our honest post worker went onto claim nearly $5000 in winnings at the Melbourne Cup.
