Lifestream Spirulina

I’ve been a fan of spirulina for years and if quality is a priority for you, Lifestream Certified Organic Spirulina is one to invest in. I say this because it’s organic, it’s potent, and it’s prepared and packaged to remain that way. I used spirulina a lot during my university days (I was one of those students who worked hard). I wasn’t into coffee, and I found that spirulina provided me with much needed energy, naturally. The main way I’ve enjoyed spirulina is in a smoothie – two teaspoons of spirulina powder, banana, liquid, blueberries – blend. I’ve also taken it in tablet form – five or six a day. There are no highs and lows with spirulina, it helps me keep my energy levels steady and strong. It’s great for sustaining me when I’m stressed in some way and really need a little nutritional support. I didn’t fully appreciate spirulina until I got pregnant and suddenly found myself running on what felt like fifty percent less energy. I once heard that spirulina is a ‘complete food’, and when my iron levels plummeted, spirulina helped me feel normal and healthy again, fast. Since I’ve had my son, I’ve continued breastfeeding for two years. If you’ve breastfed, you’ll know how much energy it takes to generate breast milk. It takes mega energy. I’ve found my appetite has drastically increased. My body needs iron big-time, and once again, when I’m taking spirulina daily, my body miraculously remains healthy and energetic. I’ve actually found I don’t need to eat meat while I’m taking spirulina. I’ve also found it to be amazing during the sleep deprived days of early motherhood – it gets me through. As I said, the reason I recommend Lifestream Spirulina Powder specifically, is because it’s certified organic and it’s by far the best quality spirulina I’ve found (as in the most potent and carefully prepared and packaged spirulina that I’ve used).

I’m Picky

Just to let you know, I only review the products and services that I totally believe in (and trust me, I’m no push-over, the products have generally got to be organic, have environmentally conscious principles behind them, and do what their marketing says they’re going to do).
