I wish I could do this or I wish I could do that are not the most powerful of statements you can make to get what you want.

Wishing for sun on a dreary Winters day is a great example of a wish. It’s highly unlikely the sun will come out.

Winter is a great time to stop wishing and work on your goals. You are spending way more time inside so why not make good use of that time.

Turn the TV off, grab paper and pen and write down what your life will look like 20-30 years from now. Michael Hill said daydreaming about what that life looks like will head you in that direction and look where he is now. Michael Hill, Jeweller. We all know him.

Whether you believe it or not your mind is very powerful and you need to make use of it.

One way to get your imagination going is to read more. Read the books you loved as a child. Read books like Harry Potter or the Lord of the Rings that get your mind thinking of other worlds and other possibilities.

This week daydream about how your life looks in 20-30 years. Think about it everyday. The house you live in. The holidays you go on. The car you drive. The fun times with your family. Get it very clear in your mind and you will be surprised at how the decisions you start making and the effort you put into things steer you in that direction.

Make this one of the best Winters ever.
