365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – Blog 282 – Welcome to the Chinese Year of the Rabbit!
Well quite honestly all I can say is: thank god!
I had a bumpy Chinese year of the Tiger. I mean it was grand in many ways, but somehow, the rabbit is a little less intimidating for a soft bellied dragon.
Tonight I attended yet another Golden Bay ritual evening to welcome in the year of the rabbit. It was more of a chatty potluck sort of an evening with a short ritual thrown in at the end really. We all set some intentions and let go of the stuff we preferred to leave behind.
The really great thing about our ritual was that we kept breaking into hilarious inappropriate songs such as ‘Oma Rapiti’ (which is a joke people who attended Kiwi schools will get and involves a farmer chasing a rabbit with a gun) and a few more modern rap songs. Hopefully this means we’ll all enjoy a year of laughter and silliness.
This year I called in continued faith in massive potential of life. When you’re flying on the wings of faith anything can happen. Honestly. It’s true!
Well gotta go, it’s late and I have a three year old to tend to,
