Generation Zero: The Latest From the Beehive

Submitted by on October 11, 2011 – 10:40 am

Parliament adjourned for the year last Friday, as parties shift to campaigning for the November 26 election. Now our attention turns to what parties and candidates are offering in terms of vision and policies for moving beyond fossil fuels to a thriving zero carbon future.

Over the coming weeks we will be finding out more from parties and from candidates through Elect Who? and communicating what we find to the public.

But we’ll also be putting our own vision out there, with a focus on solutions. We’re putting together a platter of 5 bold policy ideas that would put our country firmly on the right track!

And we’re working on some output from the Zero Carbon Pathways research project, to show the breadth and depth of opportunities that we have in New Zealand to move towards a zero carbon economy.
