I think it's time we introduced an environment tax payable by all visitors to New Zealand. This tax should fill the coffers of the Department of Conservation which should be divided into a conservation arm and a tourism arm. I can't understand why this isn't simple? We are completely set up to collect this entry fee into NZ at our airports and customs desks. I’d like to take this a step further.
