Just in case you weren’t aware, Weleda products are lush.  For me, they’re the queen of green skin care products.  The Weleda range (which is far older than I am) carries this incredibly regal and trustworthy reputation for being extremely high quality and naturally produced.

Weleda has an impressive ninety year history, dating back to Rudolph Steiner and Dr Ita Wegman who developed anthroposophic medicine.  That Rudolph Steiner was a busy man, being the same fellow who founded Biodynamics, and then there are of course Steiner schools.

It’s no surprise that I trusted Weleda products on my new born, and now I’m trusting them on my face.

I’ve been trialing some Iris Moisture Balancing Hydrating Facial Lotion and for a whole range of reasons, I’m impressed.  It’s packed full of high integrity ingredients, my face absorbs it beautifully so that it’s obviously moisturised, but not overly so, and the essential oils smell and feel amazing.

I’m told this is a light moisturising cream for normal and combination skin that supplies the skin with intensive hydration, whilst helping regulate its natural balance.  You can use it for day or night cream.

It’s said to contain “pure plant extracts from iris root and calendula, which are renowned for their unique ability to bind moisture in the skin, and also have a soothing effect.”

It smells gorgeous, and it feels wonderful.
