Kiwis combine their love of rugby with their love of native trees

Submitted by on July 30, 2013 – 8:00 pm

A fantastic initiative called, ‘The Living Legends – Where the field meets the forest’ combines New Zealand’s love of rugby and love of nature and has seen rugby legends help plant 129,140 native trees, across 17 locations, throughout this country since 2011. The goal is 170,000 and you can be involved this year with over 14 planting locations from Invercargill to Northland. Check out this website to find your nearest event and help restore biodiversity and meet a living legend.
