    Hi Charlotte,

I would love to win one of the 2 remaining places on the course. I am working at being a leader for positive change around Sustainability in my workplace and life and I would really benefit from an easy to use framework to achieve my life goals also.
I feel its a really good time in my life for change at the moment .

    Go Happzine!

    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Hello Charlotte,

I have been subscribed to your Happyzine for about a year and half since being introduce to it by a friend in Wellington.
This year I got engaged to a wonderful guy I have been in a relationship with for 7 years. The wonderful company I worked for went into liquidation, it was a tough time and although we all worked so hard to do something sustainable and low impact and beautiful and fulfilling, in the end it was time to say goodbye to that current form. Around the same time my fiance was offered a job in a new country, with new opportunities for travel and to be exposed to an entirely different culture. We thought it a great opportunity and in a fairly short space of time sold up and moved to the middle east. We have been here for two months, he enjoys his job and has met a small group of colleagues and associates. I found us a house and set everything up. We have a beautiful home, the sun is always shining and the money is good.
Then I turned 35, am feeling lonely, unable to go outside and live the lifestyle we are used to due to the heat and with the absence of a job, do not have that group of people you tend to see daily. There is endless opportunities to indulge in consumerism but instant gratification is not what I’m looking for, and I feel a certain guilt that I am not contributing financially. I have skills and interests and time on my hands but somehow can’t find the passion I used to have. Everyone says this is just an adjustment period, but I tend to be my harshest critic – then I found your course, I would be grateful to be a part of it.

    Best regards, Emily

    Hi Charlotte
Thanks for this opportunity to win a place on your Month of Change.
Over the last few years I have been involved inTransition Town Invercargill and some exciting grassroots community led development ina suburb called Glengarry. This doesn’t have a Transition focus but stemmed from what I started to learn through Transition Town and then I learnt more from inspirational community advocates Peter Kenyon and Jim Diers.

I am a big picture thinker and a doer. I am also pretty good at organising things such as events.

My passion for building a strong and resilient city in Invercargill led me to stand in the recent local body elections. I was successful and this week have been sworn in. I am one of two women in a council of 13 including the Mayor. We two women are also the only new councillors among a group of middle aged men – commonly referred to as the old boys network.

There are many challenges ahead and I have been advised to look after myself and not lose my passion, vision and what I stand for. I feel that your Month of Change opportunity will help me to do this and help me develop strategies to manage my future. I have great vision for Invercargill and want to be part of helping it become a strong and resilient place snd am always looking for tools to help me on my life journey.

Thanks for reading :) Thanks for a great and inspirational magazine.
    Cheers
    Becs Amundsen
