Help 50 keen Dunedin youth experience street art with We Are the Future theme

Submitted by on May 22, 2015 – 6:00 am

Last year's 2014 Youth Week Mural Be the ChangeDunedin youth will work alongside three artists to paint a 67 meter long mural in South Dunedin, if they can generate the funding on pledgeme in time.

The Malcam Trust and local artists are collaborating  with the community to paint the Donaghy’s Rope wall at Bathgate Park for Youth Week 2015.

The passionate young artists come from the Malcam Trust, Dunedin Community College, Dunedin Training Centre, SWITCH youth services, Kings High School  and Bathgate Park School.  They are keen to give back to their community through doing what they love.

Local artist’s Aroha Novak, Guy Howard- Smith and James Bellaney will work with the youth to come  up with representations reflecting this year’s Youth Week theme of “We are the Future,” which they will then paint up on the wall during Youth Week, 23rd- 31st May.
The PledgeMe campaign ends today at 5pm.
