Music – ahh, balm to the soul, particularly Tina Bridgman’s.  She sent this link out to the world and when I tuned in, I switched to calm mode.  You can check her out  on You Tube.  Tina had been a musician for twenty years when she lost her hand in a car accident.  She adapted.  She relearnt to play the guitar, started teaching music, and recorded another album.

And onto love: Valentines Day – or Love Day as some prefer to call it, has just passed, and to celebrate, IgoUgo.com listed their version of the top ten destinations for chocolate lovers ‘Ode Magazine’ have gone in search of love beyond lust, apparently on the evolutionary time scale, sex is a relatively new phenomenon. 
 
 
More positive environmental news:  Do you love the Monach Butterfly?  The good news is, they’re doing fine, and the Monach Butterfly New Zealand Trust has been set up to ensure they continue to thrive.  There’s encouraging news about the Tuatara, fourteen more have been released near the Coromandel Peninsular.  A Windfarm has been approved for the Central North Island, it is estimated that this will create one hundred and fifty jobs and power for 50, 000 homes.  In Wellington an electric car trial was launched by MP Nick Smith, if all goes well this could lead to the first mass produced electric vehicle in New Zealand. 
 
Here, ‘fitness meets healthy planet’: Walk to Work day is coming, on the 18th of March thousands of Kiwis will leave their cars at home and leg it to work. 
 
Goodnews for future generations, young future scientists, mathematicians, and engineers of California have participated in the Intel Science Talent Search, three of the finalists for the grand prize have demonstrated a strong interest in environmental issues.  Finally, if you haven’t already, check out The Treehuger Website – they list some great news around world-wide tree hugging, or more namely: tree planting.
