YourMondayMotivator – Glenn Edley
I recently read an article about a hero of mine, Chuck Yeager. Chuck defined flight for me because he broke the sound barrier at a time when other pilots thought the sound barrier was either a brick wall in the sky or had backed off because the plane shook so violently they thought it was going to fall apart. He just gritted his teeth, kept going, and found the plane stopped shaking and the ride smoothed out once he was through.
He had the right stuff but what really comes through for me is how much he loved what he was doing. He knew the purpose of every nut and bolt on his aircraft and this gave him a huge advantage when things went wrong.
Which brings me to today’s point. How much do you know about what you do? Do you think you know it all, every nut and bolt that makes up what you do?
I love email marketing and yet things are changing everyday and I have to keep up. This is almost a full time job in itself.
However, what I find is that when I get a bit sick of email marketing I always find some little bit of information that fires me up again. This week go looking for those little bits of information and learn everything about what you do. You will be quite amazed at how much inspiration this will give you to face the first few weeks back at work.
Have a successful week.
