365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – Blog#49 – To Parliamentary Staff, With Love
(While I raise my son and grow my good news website)
Dearest Darling Parliamentary staff,
My name’s Charlotte Squire, I live in Takaka, Golden Bay, South Island, New Zealand and it’s my deepest pleasure to invite each and every one of you Kiwi Parliamentarians (and politicians) to sign up to a free weekly good-news ezine that I send out each Monday. Now I know you perhaps won’t have heard of my good news website www.happyzine.co.nz, or of myself (though I have worked for you before as a researcher/writer) but I want you to know that I’m not spamming you, oh no, or meaning to interupt your busy days (ok maybe a little). This is simply an invitation (which I’m also posting up as a blog). Please will you all subscribe to my good news newsletter. So that I can share it with you. Every week. For five minutes. For free.
Here are twenty reasons why I think every single one of your staff (as well as your politicians) will benefit from signing up to Happyzine:
1. You’ll gain fresh insight into the gloriously free-thinking world beyond life as a Government employee
2. You’ll be reminded, each week, of ways to improve your health
3. You’ll catch a weekly glimpse into the world of positive environmentlism, thus contradicting the feeling that there’s not much we can anymore for the planet, oh no, because, oh yes, there is!
4. Your loved ones will benefit from a less cynical you (any drop in cynacism is of benefit to the world)
5. You’ll be given access to (not to mention knowledge of) affordable green products and services (for example Eco-Fashion is presently all the rage on Happyzine
6. You’ll notice that good news is generated often about often negatively represented subjects such as Maori and youth, not to mention all the other interesting issues
7. You’ll feel more inspired to eat healthy kai
8. Your sense of child-like innocence shall be woken gently
9. You’ll be reminded of the power of perspecitve
10. Your country will benefit from a more sprightly you – as the spill over affects of your increased optimism reach our MPs (unless you are an MP in which case they’ll go else where in a nice way)
11. You’ll gain new, exciting ideas about how to prepare yummy fresh food
12. You’ll be regularly exposed to ‘outside the square’ ideas (yes, that’s a benefit)
13. You’ll feel a stronger love for you mother due to increased general well-being
14. You may learn new, sustainable communication techniques
15. You’ll note that, actually, there is hope for future generations every where
16. You will witness the mission of one person to create a fun or relaxing experience every single day for 365 days (for example this is one right now)
17. You will learn about natural honey bee management
18. You’ll be exposed to interesting insight into the cultivation of happiness
19. Your digestion shall improve
20. Your animals will benefit
with love,
Charlotte Squire
