365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – Blog#138 – Kind Words
I woke up to this lovely email:
“Hi Charlotte! (No, we haven’t corresponded before, you can stop trying to place the name and email address)
I’ve been a subscriber to HappyZine for (I think) almost a year now, and should have long ago written you to tell you how much I appreciate you and your dedicated work!
Not that I read every word, but whenever I want inspiration, encouragement and good positive energy to bring to my life and the lives around me, I know I can spend 15 minutes looking at Happyzine in my Inbox or online and re-energize for the people and events around me.
I’m writing from Ottawa Canada where I live. Sadly, I’ve never even visited NZ, but have several of your expats as friends. I sure hope I find a way to make a trip there some year soon. I don’t know why Canadians and Kiwis seem to get along so well (at least up here that seems to be the case !) but I’m glad for it.
The quake of course is worldwide news and it is so wonderful that despite its strength, lives apparently were not lost. One friend of mine, a Kiwi from Napier who now lives here in Ottawa, told me about Napier and the how it was all rebuilt after the big quake there. I know you must be spending a great deal of time helping people discover how to grow, learn and find benefits in what’s happened, particularly in your old stomping grounds.
I just want to send you my warm wishes and appreciation for all you do, Charlotte – you touch lives around the world and are a great source of
strength and encouragement to many you’ve never met. Keep it up!
Best wishes,
Steve La Rocque
Ottawa, Canada”
I mean, come on! How can you not read an email like that, if it’s addressed to you, and feel good? For me, this lovely letter came at the right time and so I easily received the intended message. You know how you’ve gotta be in the right space to absorb praise? Yeah, I was there. Thanks Steve La Rocque of Canada. You made my day.
