365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – Blog#167 – Fake Laughter Is a Great Ice Breaker
Have you ever tried impressing someone with your best fake laugh? It’s a great way to start a conversation. Or at least make people laugh at you. Or you could take a bath and try it out on your loved ones, as I did tonight. Well actually it was my three year old son’s idea. He’s such a cheerful soul, trust him to think of a fake laugh performance. He’s my little laughter yoga guru. He kept asking me to try a different type of fake laugh. I obediently joined in, and it carried on for a good half hour. Only problem was – the laughter kept moving into ‘real’ rather than ‘fake’. Oh well.
What a great new family tradition we’ve started.
But also whilst I was in the bath – the big ideas came. I got to thinking about my ideal lifestyle, as you do, and made some exciting new plans regarding running positive environmentalism and writing courses. Have you ever tried writing down a list of all the things you’d like to do in your ideal month? I did it in a flash of inspiration the other day and now that list is serving me well. It’s good to capture the moment when it comes. I like running courses. I love helping to inspire people to use their natural talent, it’s just so exciting being able to share a little encouragement with those who could really do with it. Soon I shall put the word out for a new series. Thanks to that crazy bath.
So the laughter made the day, though close on the tale of laughing is (shock, splutter) gardening (well – weeding) in the new spring heat. Yes, I’m feeling the call and am answering it dutifully and thoughtlessly. It’s making a great break from the computer. One of these days I might even plant something! As I have previously mentioned, this is not like me. I’m more a consumer of the fruits of other gardener’s labours. My spring urges are getting stronger and stronger. I must be undergoing some kind of personality shift. Again.
The ebook’s nearly finished. Truly, really. I’m up to the contents page, sigh, I hope this isn’t yet another steep learning curve. But they’re valuable in the longer run aren’t they?
I’ve got one tired child requiring my attention right now, so gotta go. But here’s one of my old favorite tunes to flavour your night or day (see below)
