365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – Blog 217 – Kiwi River On My Skin
One reason I live here in the top of the South Island, in Golden Bay, is the river life. As in: there is life in the rivers. Now that’s a nice thing. It’s pretty special swimming in a deep, blue (azure blue) river water that smells clean, looks clean, and is buzzing with life and sound. A river alive. You leave feeling equally alive. So I’m sitting here feeling mildly sunburned, and smelling the river on my skin. Lucky me. It’s the quintessential kiwi outfit – sun kissed skin with a hint of fresh clean river. I wish it upon every human.

Hi Charlotte Which river is this?
Have you caught up with whats happening in the Aorere Catchment. The work the community is doing together to ensure the water quality remains at a high level into the future.
Pretty empowering stuff. Also featured on the Water Whisperers eco-doco recently released and shown across the country.
Working together makes a difference!

hey there Michelle,
I’d love to cover the Aorere catchment on Happyzine. I was up the Anatoki that day enjoying that chilly clear water, it was so hot that I could handle it. Nice to hear from you
