Youth Perspective: My New Years Resolutions……..
Here I sit, along, feeling isolated as I tap my pen against my hard faded brown wooden desk. Thinking about those important highlights of 2010, Reflecting on both the positive and negative affects of my dreams, hopes and attitude to society. I sit here, wondering what could make a positive affect in society as well as affecting myself positively. My mined is a rush hour with thoughts. But sadly I can only choose 10 limited new years resolutions. I pick up my blue pen and I start to write, I just go with the flow…
10: To be myself, not try and fit in to that over-rated popular group of wanna-be Princes & Princess’s.
9: Learn to achieve those high notes that I much need to further my musical career.
8: Be positive, not just think about those little cars with negative thoughts driving around my mined in rush-our thoughts.
7: Try and reduce the amount of waste leaving our toxic landfill of a school.
6: Help a person a day, keeps the teacher and parent away!
5: Take a roller-coaster ride through life, experience all the positive and negative effects of my actions while taking a good understanding of what went wrong and improving in that aspect.
4: Get a job, weather it’s acting or retail. It doesn’t matter as long as I am getting some financial back to support those teenage symptoms of spending money
3: Enjoy myself in 2011 while keeping that positive behavioral boundary in place! Nothing gets worse than a lunchtime detention with the school principal (not that its ever happened to me!)
2: Respect my surroundings and belongings. I need to remember how lucky I am to have a home, a family, even a life!
1: HOPE, DREAM , BELIEVE AND REACH MY DESTINY
