Check out Daniel Pink’s 2008 MCAD Commencement Speech (part two). What I like about this speech he’s giving to graduates is that he reminds us that quite often, the people who make it and achieve amazing results in life don’t necessarily have a plan. Often, those people didn’t prepare strategically for those world-changing careers they found themselves in, often ‘it just happened’. This is a great reminder to trust in the strange but delightful corners that life carries us round. As the vicar said in a book I just finished ‘it’ll be for the best’.
