Ha ha! They’re people after all, and all people feel. No really, even the seemingly hard-shelled, aloof ones. In fact those people generally have reasons for that hard shell, but I digress. It’s impossible for anyone connected to Christchurch not to want to help out in some way. I love seeing the way countries and big-business step up to give generously when it’s needed most. Obviously their capacity to offer much needed resources is huge, and while some days they may seem rich and totally absorbed in helping their shareholders get rich, other days something like this comes along and their size suddenly becomes an asset to humanity. Aint that life for you? Full of fascinating paradoxes.
