With less than sixty days to go until the end of this blog I’ve decided to focus upon my goals (as well as the fun stuff, though the two quite often do combine).  This month I’ve been focusing upon marketing my new ebook fun, green ebook world-wide, plus inviting people to join the related Green Dream April facebook page.  I’ve never done this before.  I’ve never written an ebook, or tried to sell one.  So of course, I just threw myself into it and assumed I’d work it out.  It took a whole lot of trust, more than a few mistakes, hours and hours of propositions, and a whole lot of steely determination, but I think I’m getting there.

So what was the challenge?  Well, I knew my heart was in the right place, I knew the ebook was awesome, and I knew it was going to inspire great environmental change, but I wasn’t exactly sure how to get from ‘Author of way-cool fun, green ebook’ to ‘Author of way-cool fun, green ebook that sells well and independently’.

Thanks to my old, wondrous business coach Serena Star-Leonard and a phone conversation we had today I think I’m a little closer to realising my ebook goals.  She helped me remember that the best way to get my ebook out there was for me to be very clear about how it can help others.  That conversation lead to a phone chat with the manager of an organization who knows me and loves the idea of the ebook.  It seems I have my first promotional campaign!  It will run for the next two months, on the radio, to thousands of people, and we have some exciting sales goals in mind that will help this organization achieve some of their own goals.   We will invite people to join my new facebook page too: ‘30 Days of Fun (and Chillaxed) Green Goal Achievement this April 2011′.  The great thing is that this is a win, win, win, win – this work leads to more good for the planet, for our people, for the community organization who are going to market it, and for me.  Here’s to sticking at your goals until you reach your dreams!

Whew! I’m exhausted!  Time to relax with a chick flick …
