365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – 330 – Getting Ready for Neighbours Day Aotearoa
Today, as promised to Tania Austin – the coordinator of Neighbour’s Day – I dutifully crossed the road and had a yarn with Paul Woodward (he who happens to have just rocked walled his long, luscious lawn). I told him it was both Earth Hour and Neighbour’s Day Aotearoa so how about a pot-luck picnic evening meal at his place on Saturday night, including no power from eight ’til nine just to make things really exciting … even though we’d be outside anyway, theoretically (perhaps citronella candles will do the trick). Paul gave it the ‘nod’. So it’s all on. I immediately bumped into someone from up the street who I’ve been smiling at for a year without actually introducing myself and we had our first chat. She said she’ll be there. And so it begins, bonding on my street. Thanks to Neighbours Day.
I’d love to hear about your plans, if you feel inspired.
