We’re launching an ‘Urban Garden DIY’ workshop series
This is a quick extra Urban Pantry update to let you know that Urban Pantry, in collaboration with Tangleball, is launching an ‘Urban Garden DIY’ workshop series, to be held in Tangleball’s community workshop space.
The workshops will be shaped by the interests of the people who come to them, so whether there’s a particular project idea you’re really keen to bring to life, or you want to be inspired by other people’s innovative designs, you can use the workshop space to get what you want out of it. We’re open to anything, from building planter boxes out of discarded shipping pallets to urban beekeeping to rainwater harvesting systems to anything urban garden-related you can think of. The idea is that we’ll share our skills and knowledge so we can all learn from and be inspired by each other, and at the end of the day make some useful stuff to take home to our gardens.
As part of Tangleball’s Makerspace Open Day this Saturday 23 July, Urban Pantry is hosting a session at 11am to share some urban garden DIY project ideas and chat to interested people about what they’d like to learn or share in our workshop series. You can come along to Tangleball at 27 Edinburgh Street, Newton (off K Road) to see the community workshop space, share your thoughts and hear what others are thinking.
If you’re interested in our Urban Garden DIY workshop series but can’t make it along on Saturday, we’ll share more information and the dates of the August workshops in our July newsletter next week. Feel free to drop us a line and let us know what you’re interested in so we can build it into our plans: [email protected].
Hope to you on Saturday!
