Education – a key to new ways of evolution
The Top of the South Island will be the host of a 3-day-open-space-conference on holistic learning. The conference starts on Friday, the 27th of January 2012, and ends on Sunday, the 29th of January 2012, and takes place at the Riverside Community Centre in Lower Moutere, near Motueka.
Ako-a-Rongo is an open-space-conference, and you’re invited to bring your ideas, experiences, and questions to share and explore with a diverse group of people. There will be plenty of “open space” to exchange information, network, and develop process skills. In addition, modules in the form of talks, games, group work/play, and workshops will occur with a focus to stimulate shared learning experiences and to nurture the natural joy in learning.
For registration details see more at; http://holisticlearning.
The conference offers a variety of workshops and seminars with international and national presenters and speakers such as Ally Bull of the New Zealand Council for Educational Research (NZCER), Yaacov Hecht (democratic education pioneer, Israel), Jesper Juul and Helle Jensen (authors of many books in the field of education and founders of the worldwide operating organisation FamilyLab, Denmark), as well as “open space” for hands on experimental and practical learning experiences.
