Happyzine 2015 = exciting times ahead

Inspiring Stories Trust celebrates the third year of their ‘Ecosystem of Awesome’ and launches BeCause, an online media platform to acknowledge young kiwis doing amazing things in their communities.

Wellington, May 2^nd, 2013 - Inspiring Stories Trust held their Launch 3.0 event last night at the New Zealand Film Archive. The event celebrated major milestones achieved in the Trusts first three years and announced future plans.

The Trust works nationwide and currently manages a varied portfolio of workshops, events and competitions focused on increasing the visibility, capability and confidence of young New Zealanders making a difference. The suite of self-reinforcing initiatives has been dubbed ‘the ecosystem of awesome’ and includes several new projects.

“To get an organisation off the ground from scratch is a huge learning curve. From an idea to a movement we’ve grown the team, developed some great partnerships and created life changing experiences for many young New Zealanders. We’re very excited about the future.“ said CEO and Founder, Inspiring Stories Trust, Guy Ryan.

The latest addition to the Ecosystem of Awesome is ‘BeCause’, a new website and campaign that encourages people to nominate and vote on young Kiwis making a difference. The top-voted nominees will then be aired up with New Zealand film-makers to tell their story on film.

Another new initiative, Live the Dream, challenges young people to pitch ideas to advance New Zealand that have social, environmental and economic impact. The national competition will be launching in August this year. More information is available via www.inspiringstories.org.nz.
