Keeping the Pallet Pavilion alive: $50,000 pledged
Happyzine is pretty darn excited about the energy and abundance that is being created to keep Gap Filler’s Pallet Pavilion alive for another summer! They have reached $50,000 of their $80,000 target.
Christchurch’s urban regeneration initiative Gap Filler is campaigning to get a whopping $80,000 to keep the Pallet Pavilion in the city’s CBD for the rest of 2013. That’s a lot of money – but the Gap Filler crew are doing a hell of a lot of good (in crazy and innovative ways). And get this – THEY ALREADY HAVE $50,000 PLEDGED ON THEIR PROJECT!
Gap Filler’s dedication to bringing innovative ideas out of the empty spaces of Christchurch has created the dance-o-mat, cycle powered cinema, the book exchange, and now – the Pallet Pavilion. Lets do the maths. They have:
- 250 amazing volunteers
- 3,000 pallets
- 25,000 Christchurch residents enjoyed the space over Summer 12/13
- $80,000 is needed to keep it going for another YEAR.

To celebrate the Pallet Pavilion – the PledgeMe team are helping to organise a High Tea on Monday, 3 June – with a *sneaky Royal Flash mob* of sorts. Open invite to all you Cantabrians to come on down!
