How to feed and maintain your happiness, as we move into the depths of winter,
Happiness just comes from enjoying simple pleasures, such as the tang of fejoas in my porridge, the warmth returning to my cheeks after riding through a southerly, sleeping in on weekends, exploring other worlds through stories, a body warmed through movement, the sour-sweetness of lemon-honey-ginger drinks, wearing wooly gloves and a scarf with my swandri, hearty potluck meals with friends, listening to kaka cartwheeling above my home, and feeling the glow of the sun on my faces as it races low across the horizon.

I think it’s important to regularly review and compile a gratitude list. Even if it is only in your head. When the winter blues gets you down, look at the list as a To Do list.

Love it! I go on gratitude walks and runs, where I focus on all the amazing things in my life I’m thankful for as I exercise. This really does it for me.
