Wondrous Wednesday: name five awesome things in your life
Five awesome things in my life?
The Motupipi River – nice and clear so I can see her belly.
My street – full of friendly people and trees.
My seed babies – thrusting eagerly up through the soil, they’re growing fast and this summer they will feed my family and fill my freezer with goodness.
The new light bulb in my lamp – sheds a whole new light upon my night … Ha, ha, ha!
My front deck – because from there I can see right out across Golden Bay. I can see river and sea. I can feel expansive and warm.
How ’bout you comrade?

2 magnolias in full flight, right outside my back door
fog! I love fog, the blanket of stillness and silence it is casting over Port Chalmers today
bananas! Them I also love – even more since finding out they are prebiotics
the German wind up clock on my wall, tick tick ticking – like the heart of the house

1)My body and bike which both took me across the Heaphy Track last week.
2)My friends, who are saying ka pai, from across the world on facebook, after looking at the pictures I posted of it. Including a friend in Australia, who I first did the track with about 23 years ago and whom I haven’t seen for more than 18!
3)My work, which had me at our local marae today, singing waiata to kaka birds which have come from the bottom of the South Island to help re-establish their population at the top.
4) The silverbeet in my garden which never fails me.
5) The new TV programme I’ve just discovered (thanks Charlotte) on Netflix, ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’. Laugh out loud and quirkily inspiring.
