Urban farm sites popping up in Wellington to support wellness revolution – edible city movement grows

Submitted by on September 29, 2015 – 10:30 am

Founder of WorkerBe, Erin Leigh describes her business as a wellness revolution, but not only is she taking our office workers health by storm by providing “local, nutrient dense and mostly spray-free whole foods to create beautiful and nutritious morsels for busy workers” in Wellington, she has now paired up with permaculture activist Linnea Lindstroem to connect with the growing “edible city” movement! They are starting a series of urban farm sites throughout Wellington, with the first one in Newtown called WorkerBe Oasis

“…if we can have a fast food restaurant on every corner then we can have urban farms in every city.”

Erin was on B-Side Stories at 5.05 last night talking about why this concept has long legs. Listen on in Wellington Access Radio 783am.
