365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – Blog#31 – My First Rock-Concert (Again)

Submitted by on May 16, 2010 – 11:07 pm

Tonight as I write this it’s late, it’s dark, it’s been pouring for days, the Takaka Rivers swollen, many are experiencing cabin fever, and I’m rather tired. The parents out there will understand, I’ve been chasing a two year old around all day, a grumpy two year old. BUT I managed to record a ROCK STAR moment, in a warm living room, amongst the chaos of three children who also wanted to participate and despite stopping once or twice when I forgot the words. Hey, it may not be much, but it’s my beginning. And it felt good. This is my debut performance for you, with Fi on hand drums and Jyoti holding the camera. You will also note guest appearances from one year old Te Aria and my son Kahu who decided to ask me a very important question towards the end of the song. Such is my life now, as a Mama/Writer/Editor/rock-star. At the very least, you’ve gotta try though don’t you?
