1.  The soft yet strong, fit, beating heart that I was born with

2.  Durable, polished wooden floors

3.  My son’s innocent face, gazing at mine, every morning

4.  The way my dog rests her head on my knee and watches me when I need a kind audience

5.  People who write fictional novels

6.  Fire-places in the full throws of fulfilling their potential, mid-winter

7.  That soft bit at the bottom of a horse’s nose that they can nuzzle you with

8.  Old friends who believe in you even when you don’t

9.  The smell of winter-sweet flowers

10.  The smell of my mother

11.  New friends who fill your day with the scent of fresh possibilities

12.  The colour orange

13.  That chewing gum that dentists say is good for your teeth and you can buy from organic shops (mint flavoured)

14.  The song of the tui – loud and sure

15.  Hot water, on demand, anytime, twenty-four seven (yeah!  This stuff rocks!)

16.  Wire-less internet

17.  Thick, plump feather-filled duvets that keep on giving and giving

18.  The warm, loving touch of other humans

19. Huge mugs that can hold bottomless cups of tea or hot chocolate

20.  Rainbow coloured socks

21.  Dark chocolate filled with soft caramel
