365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – Blog#162 – Thanks My Lovely Friends

Submitted by on September 30, 2010 – 9:54 pm 3 Comments

This is Charlotte Squire, reporting in from the front-line of the good-news revolution.  It’s the countdown to ebook completion time (as I may have mentioned once or twice before) and the wonderful thing is that today I learned a whole lot of new stuff – for example how to change a music file into a video file for uploading onto You Tube and how to make a scanner go when it would rather ignore my computer. Yeah, despite my best efforts I’m only a white-belt computer geek, but that’s where my friends come in!  I did reach a rare moment of feeling rather overwhelmed today.  I really want to complete this ebook by Monday to send out for reviews.  So I decided to call super-Gabes and confess my woes (who runs myVA is the person to call with the most random of computer or business questions) and she had me sorted out within half an hour.  I’m so looking forward to showing every one this ebook!

Most gorgeous hour of the day was spent chatting with Serena Star Leonard – who was my business coach for over a year.  That girl is the happiest, most going for it, joyous, in love with a wondrous husband who adores her, skilled in business, sparkling fairy-like entrepreneur I ever had the pleasure of knowing.  She’s just signed a book deal with an Australian publisher who love her mission to create a passive income in one year, she’s running the Retire Young course with twelve people from all over the planet (the green/socially responsible version), plus mentoring other business people.  She’s busy living her dreams and I love that about her!  I felt supremely inspired after our chat.

And while I’m paying homage to my kind friends, I also had a great chat with David Laing who runs Sustain Consultancy today.  That man is a marvel.  He’s helping me set up Wild Energy (the green design competition) and has been so immensely helpful with the overall development of Happyzine.  He’s very good at ‘keeping his eye on the ball’ in a strategic development kind of way.  He juggles his work (helping businesses become more environmentally and financially sustainable) around being a father, which is kind of cool as we ‘parents’ understand how it is.

Here’s to patient, persistent progress and keeping the faith in our dreams (with a little help from our friends)

Today’s rating 10/10
