Its time for CHANGE my people! Its time for CHANGE!

YOU are able to achieve anything that your heart desires, anything in this whole entire world. You do NOT have to be born with special abilities, you do NOT have to belong to a wealthy family, and you do NOT have to become someone else to achieve your dreams. The person you are now, the maori that you are now is all that you need to make anything achievable. All you need to do is know exactly what you want, no matter how big or how small and then without a single doubt in your mind, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

It was belief that helped Edmund Hillary reach the summit of Mount Everest. It was belief that helped Barack Obama become the first African American president and it will be belief the helps you achieve every single thing you want in this lifetime. Why is it that the most influential people in our history have become icons of all time? I can tell you that within themselves they knew they were destined for something great, and within themselves they found the power to uplift this desire within and transform what seemed to be only a dream into reality. The power inside yourself my maori is waiting for you to unleash its potential, and by digging down deep within your soul you can open your life to greatness!

Back at University when I used to travel to high schools to speak to maori students about the benefits of coming to University, I started off very nervous. I still remember the feeling when I spoke to the first school I went to, I introduced myself and I was so nervous that I forgot what I was talking about, and eventually the next person in our team had to speak. I remember feeling embarrassed and ashamed, and the emotions of self-doubt started kicking in. I had thoughts that maybe I had made the wrong decision trying to step up in my life, maybe I just wasn’t destined to influence our rangatahi. But my maori these were only thoughts and I was determined not to give up, and so I practiced and I practiced, and eventually by believing in myself I become very good at speaking in front of people and eventually I was able to inspire my maori as well.

What I want to put across is that this wasn’t a talent I was born with, it was a talent that I wanted to have and with belief I was able to develop these skills and make them a reality.
While I was at University I was apart of a group of maori students that supported each other in our studies and networked for the future. Last year I had the privilege to host the next generation of this group at my workplace. I spoke to them about the transition I had made from University to the corporate world and that each and every one of them should be excited about what lies ahead for their future. It was a great experience and I could see in their eyes, that “if he could do it, then so can I”. Presently these communication skills I have acquired assist me everyday to illustrate confidence in front of my colleagues, my boss and also my customers.

To transform your belief into a power that can assist your future you must find the extra effort to make it happen, because no one else can do it for you. Through the many hundreds of people of have met while starting this website, I have been fortunate to come across a video that really summarizes what I am trying to say. The key message in this video illustrates that at 211 degrees water becomes hot. However at 212 degrees water starts to boil. Boling water creates steam and steam can power the engine of a train (locomotive).
With only an extra degree of temperature power is created!! Now my Maori find that extra degree of effort within yourself and really start making those significant changes in your life. Start showing your family, friends and employer that you are here to make a difference in this lifetime, show everyone that within yourself you have realized a power, and this power is going to assist you in creating the future you want. I encourage you to watch this video, it is MEAN MAORI MEAN!! http://www.the212movie.com/?ref=232

Over the next few days when you wake up or while you’re eating lunch or even before you go to sleep, ask yourself these questions “Do I have a power within me? Am I destined for something great, but I just don’t know it yet? Can the things I want in life really become reality? The answer my maori lies within you, and I know you will find it.

I will always be proud of myself for even daring to try; many people won’t even do that! Today and Everyday I will release my hesitation to make room for victory!

“To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.”

Be grateful for everything in your life that you have presently, and then be grateful for all the riches and experiences you are going to have in your future!

Its time for CHANGE my people! Its time for CHANGE!
