Enter the Amazing Race – Auckland

Submitted by on November 26, 2010 – 4:59 pm

Have you ever wished that you could be on the television show “The Amazing Race”? Well now is your chance!!!!

What is it?

The MOST Amazing Race is the most exciting event of 2010. Modeled on the American television show of a similar name, The MOST Amazing Race pitches many teams against each other and the clock to win $500, only this race has a twist. Teams will be given 25 location options and will have the opportunity to choose which locations they want to go to and tasks they want to complete, and although there is a time limit, the winning team is the team that earns the most points, not the team that finishes first.

Entry is $15 per person until Wednesday 24th November and $20 per person from the 25th onwards. Teams can comprise of 2–5 people. All proceeds raised from the event will go towards the building of 2 water systems in poor, rural communities in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa.

When and where is it?

The MOST Amazing Race will be held on Saturday 27th November from 10.30am – 5.00pm. Teams will have the opportunity to complete tasks at venues right across Auckland, from Manukau to East Auckland, Auckland City, the North Shore and Waitakere. After registering for the event, teams will only be told where the starting point of the race is the day before the race starts.

Why enter?

The MOST Amazing Race is a great opportunity to have fun and compete for an awesome cash prize whilst doing it, but most importantly it’s a
positive contribution to the well-being of people less fortunate than us. All proceeds from the event will go towards the building of 2 water systems for communities in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. At present, these communities have no clean running water and women and children have to walk many kilometres per day to fetch water that is drinkable. Just your participation in this event will make a world of difference to the lives of people who need our care and support so much.

How to enter?

Text 022 4 BUYISA to register your interest and the details of you and your group members, or alternately e-mail [email protected].
