The Mental Health Foundation congratulates Sam RB on having her song Stand Tall made into the official anthem of the New Zealand Olympic team.

Sam is a former Like Minds, Like Mine and Mental Health Foundation media grant recipient and the team at the Mental Health Foundation are extremely proud of her achievement, chief executive Judi Clements says.

“We have encouraged Sam as she embarked on this journey, voted for her song and now we’re celebrating the result,” Ms Clements says.

“Everyone at the Mental Health Foundation is looking forward to hearing the song used as the Olympic team’s anthem, we know it will inspire the athletes and help them remember that we are all cheering for them here in New Zealand.

“And of course we give our best wishes to the New Zealand Olympic team as they go through final preparations for London in the next 100 days,” she says. “Sport and exercise are factors that assist with positive mental health so we are more than willing to get behind our team.”
