Green Product Review: Natural Cream Deodorant – Lemon and Bergamot
Have you found yourself a reliable natural deodorant? For me, it’s been a bewildering journey of misfires and letdowns with the very occasional discovery of one that actually works. I found a goodie in it’s All Good Natural Cream Deodorant.
Of course, a lot of it has to do with what we actually put into our bodies, a fact that I’ve proven to myself each time I fall off the healthy kai wagon, but without all the chemicals and synthetics, a good high-quality all natural deodorant can really do what the adverts tell us we deserve – install confidence and security.
Nelson qualified classical Homeopath Anat Edwy was kind enough to develop It’s All Good natural cream deoderant. And her ingredients are good. The deodorant I tested over the weekend is made up of nothing but the basics, substances I recognise and trust such as Organic butters of shea and coconut, sodium bicarbonate, arrowroot, and essential oils of lemon and bergamot.
I put this deodorant to the ultimate test – I relied upon my Lemon and Bergamot to last through a gig I played with my band at Golden Bay’s most notoriously amazing Mussel Inn. Now, for those of you who have never experienced being up on stage playing folk rock to a howling audience beneath bright stage lights, let me tell you it’s a hot and sweaty affair. And although I lost all sense or care for what I looked like (in fact I’m not even sure I want to know) I really did want to maintain a positive reputation on the ‘walk-past’ front. And I did. Because this stuff works. By the end of the evening I may have sweated several litres of fluid, but all was well on the body scent front.
And so this deodorant has made it into my rarely frequented deodorant Hall of Fame (aka my bathroom cabinet). Many others have tried and failed. But this one has something special.
