100% Possible freeze mob video

Submitted by on May 20, 2013 – 6:44 pm

In March, 100% Possible was launched with more than seven days of action across the country.  The Week of Possibilities was a series of nationally coordinated stunts and events showcasing the vision that this campaign is all about.

In Wellington, 50 people came from across the city to take part in a Freeze Mob calling for NZ to “Stop the Freeze on Climate Change Action”

The video of this action has now been created for you to reflect and pause to be inspired – check it out:

The 100% Possible organisation believe that “[m]oving beyond fossil fuels is 100% Possible. We have the solutions today to get moving and build a thriving New Zealand for the 21st century.

  • We can power our homes, businesses and industries with 100% clean, renewable energy.
  • We can build a smart nationwide transport network powered by clean homegrown fuels.
  • We can create a thriving economy beyond fossil fuels.

Unlike many countries, we’re blessed with an abundance of opportunities and natural assets to move forward. All of this is in our reach with clear vision and decisive leadership. It’s time for us to step up, make our choices, and make it happen.

We know that there are complex issues to work through, and costs and tradeoffs to consider. We admit we don’t have all the answers. But we know that ‘business as usual’ is not an option – we can’t afford not to act now. The smart path forward is investing in a future beyond fossil fuels.”
