365 Days of Fun and Chillaxation – 312 – Stillness and All Its Hidden Treasures
Today’s musings via this blog revolve around the ancient art of stillness. Ahhh, sweet stillness. As a child I found quiet time either soothing and sleep inducing, or just plain boring. As a grown-up I find it immensely useful, and often some of my best ideas appear whilst in the bosom of stillness. The thing is, some times it takes me weeks to remember the value of stillness.
I’m beginning to realise, or perhaps to remember once again, that when I set myself a goal, often the answers appear almost immediately, though my mind can tend to overlook the clues because it’s decided it’s on ‘a mission’ and the only way to achieve anything is by pushing hard. Actually, dreams can be realised by casting out the idea or the request, perhaps reaching out to a few people in my own good time, and then relaxing for a while and having faith. This blog is my reminder to myself (and to you, if you need reminding) – to be still for a moment or two. To relax. To trust. And to let the ideas appear, and the good news come, in its own sweet time.
